Details :- The first solar panel system installed between railway tracks in India is at the Banaras Locomotive Works (BLW) in Varanasi. This pilot project was launched on 15 August  2025, and consists of 28 removable, bifacial solar panels across a 70-meter stretch of Railway Yard track.

भारत में रेलवे पटरियों के बीच स्थापित पहली सौर पैनल प्रणाली वाराणसी स्थित बनारस लोकोमोटिव वर्क्स (बीएलडब्ल्यू) में स्थापित की गई है। यह पायलट परियोजना 15 अगस्त 2025 को शुरू की गई थी और इसमें रेलवे यार्ड ट्रैक के 70 मीटर लंबे हिस्से में 28 हटाने योग्य, द्विमुखी सौर पैनल शामिल हैं।
