Solution:-
Given
2x + 5y = 12,
xy = 2
8x³ + 125y³ = ?
use a³+b³ formula
a³ + b³ = (a + b)(a² – ab + b²)
and find the answer in picture.

3rd Method of solution:-
2X+5Y = 12 equation-(i)
and XY = 2 equation-(ii)
Put X = 1 & Y = 2
Both equation-(i) & (ii) complete requirements
2(1) + 5(2) =12 equation-(i)
And
1*2 = 2 equation-(ii)
Then
8x³ + 125y³ = ?
Put X =1 , Y=2
8(1)³ + 125 (2)³ =
8 + 125*8 =
8+1000 = 1008 answer.
